A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF LOMBARD TO ENTER INTO AN INTERGOVERNEMENTAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN GLENBARD FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT AND THE YORK CENTER FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT REGARDING GRAMMERCY PARK

                     WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Lombard is a unit of local government in DuPage County, Illinois; and

                     WHEREAS, the Glenbard Fire Protection District, the York Center Fire Protection District and the Lombard Fire Department are creatures of intergovernmental cooperation organized under the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act, 5 ILCS 220/1 et seq., and

                     WHEREAS, 65 ILCS 5/1-1-5, authorized the Corporate Authorities of a Municipality to exercise jointly all powers which it possesses; and

                     WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Lombard believe that the agreement will benefit its citizens.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LOMBARD, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS as follows:

                     SECTION 1:  That the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Lombard enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement with the Glenbard Fire Protection District and the York Center Fire Protection District.

                     SECTION 2:  That the Village President be and hereby is authorized to sign on behalf of the Village of Lombard said agreement as attached hereto.

                     SECTION 3:  That the Village Clerk be and hereby is authorized to attest said agreement as attached hereto.
