A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF LOMBARD TO ENTER INTO A LICENSE AGREEMENT WITH NICOR AND THE VILLAGE OF GLEN ELLYN
TO INSTALL AN OUTDOOR WARNING SIREN ON NICOR PROPERTY

WHEREAS, the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Lombard is a unit of local government in DuPage County, Illinois; and

WHEREAS, the Village of Glen Ellyn is a creature of intergovernmental cooperation organized under the Intergovernmental Cooperation Act, 5 ILCS 220/1 et seq., and the Emergency Telephone System act, (40 ILCS 750/0.01 et seq.); and

WHEREAS, 65 ILCS 5/1-1-5, authorized the Corporate Authorities of a Municipality to exercise jointly all powers which it possesses; and

WHEREAS, in order to maintain and install a siren on Nicor property a license is required by both villages' legal departments.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF LOMBARD, DU PAGE COUNTY, ILLINOIS as follows:

SECTION 1: That the Corporate Authorities of the Village of Lombard enter into a License Agreement with the Village of Glen Ellyn and NICOR to install and maintain a tornado warning siren atop a 50 foot pole at a specific location at the northeast corner of the NICOR headquarters property at 90 North Finley Road, Glen Ellyn, Illinois,

SECTION 2: That the Village President be and hereby is authorized to sign on behalf of the Village of Lombard said agreement as attached hereto.

SECTION 3: That the Village Clerk be and hereby is authorized to attest said agreement as attached hereto.
