Request for approval of PC 97-23, a petition for a conditional use for a contractor’s office and storage yard for a landscape business and a variation from foundation landscaping requirements for the property located at 825 E. St. Charles Rd. The petitioner, Mr. Bruce Johnson, explained that he desired to use the property for a landscape contractor's office, and that this use would include two (2) landscape trailers and up to four (4) pick-up trucks. He stated that there would be no outdoor storage of materials or waste, and that all storage would occur within the building or trailers. Mr. Robert Goldin, of the State Farm Insurance office at 819 East St. Charles Road, spoke in favor of the petition. He thanked the Village for cleaning up the property from the previous applicant, and stated that he hoped that the proposed conditional use would be approved. Mr. Goldin stated that the applicant was cleaning up the property, and that the applicant and his business would be a welcome addition to St. Charles Road.
