David Dratnol reviewed the flyer from Concrete Pavement Association.

Sebby-The red dyed concrete on Wilson Avenue have we been bidding that? One of |

the concrete guys I've been talking to is very critical of it. Dratnol-Yes, it is bid. |

Sebby-Regarding the demolition of the VFW building, how are we doing on that? |
|
Burg-My time frame is Oct 4th. I know you are concerned and I'm trying to move ahead. |
|
Fruehe-The posts on the Prairie Path, where did we end up with that? Dratnol-We are |
|
pursuing that with the County. Sebby-Any kind of a feel for a time frame? Dratnol-No. |
|
Blakeslee-Green Horizon is doing a lot of the landscaping. Who does the Lagoon on |
|
Grace? Dratnol-The Park District. |
|
Arnold-I read in the paper that Transportation & Safety is recommending that Madison |
|
be reduced to 25mph. Is it possible to look into why the speed limit on Washington is |
|
30mph only where the school is. The rest of it is 25mph. |

Pending Change Orders
David Dratnol reviewed the pending change orders.

Other Business

Arnold-Highland north of Maple south of St Charles, there is gravel with a barricade. |
|
Dratnol-That will be patched in the Fall. Kaforski-Can we put a temporary patch on? |
|
Arnold-On Madison a sewer in front of a church, the basin is sinking in and blacktop was |
|
put over it. Do we know why it sunk down? Dratnol-They put the patch there to |
|
maintain a rideable surface. When they fix it they'll check why it failed. |
|
Arnold-On Madison west of the church was resurfaced west of Main but not all the way |
|
to Finley. Is that where the buck stopped? Dratnol-Yes. Arnold-The condition of the |
|
street that wasn't done was as bad as what was done. |
|
Arnold-At Washington and Edgewood there are no pedestrian markings at that |
|
intersection. It's not that far from the school. Soderstrom-That would come under |
|
Transportation & Safety Committee. Arnold-If you're walking west you cross the street |
|
into somebody's driveway. That's also the bus stop for the middle and high schools. |
|
Arnold-Where did we get with the downtown parking lot with the curb issue and the |
|
bushes? Dratnol-It is beyond the purview of this committee and that is where it stopped. |
|
Kaforski-Who is in charge of that? Sebby-I will speak with Community Development |
|
and get a response. |
|
Kaforski-On S Lombard, 400 blk, three houses from corner on the west side, the village |
|
did new water line 3-4 yrs ago in parkway. The b-box is sticking way up. |
