Angela Podesta, Utilities Supt., in attendance to review changes made to ordinance |

highlighted the changes. (Art Frerichs arrived at 7:09 PM) |

Discussion ensued regarding any type of reimbursement for this project. Dratnol |
explained what SEECO had done on site. Tross: where the borings were done, there |
was no contamination. Dratnol: soil borings only tell what is right underneath where the |
boring is done. Further discussion ensued. |
It was moved by Arnold, seconded by Blakeslee, that this matter be |
recommended to the Board of Trustees for approval. The motion carried by a |
voice vote |
Arnold: would like an answer regarding the Washington & Fairfield water problem. |
Dratnol: this is not a smoking gun issue. This will be handled in-house, maybe a grind |
and overlay. Arnold: the water is there frequently. Not sure why. Dratnol: there is no |
direct path where the water is coming from. Arnold: if there is a drain tile put where that |
water ponds, it would gravitate to it. Dratnol: depends on which direction the water is |
coming from. When we open the road up, we will try to find where the water is coming |
from. Kaforski: project on Charlotte/Grove seems to be going slowly? Dratnol: it is |
going slower than we had hoped. In the Olde Town neighborhood the contractor is |
Brothers Asphalt. They are basically on schedule right now, just a long drawn out |
process with them. We have had the total opposite with SA217A where the contractor |
has been excellent. Further discussion ensued. Kaforski asked Dratnol to give an |
update on the Main St. project. Dratnol also updated on the STP portion of the Main St. |
project. |
Tross: for next agenda - Start/Finish date for mailboxes; intergovernmental agreements |
(present the IGA to the committee that was rejected by the board); survey of ponds in |
the Village (get from Community Development); preliminary report on white-topping. |
Wants the committee to discuss if the Village should reimburse other governmental |
agencies when they invest money into properties that we are going to eventually annex |
into the Village. |
Kaforski: asked for clarification on the paving and improvements to the Village complex |
area. Dratnol: decision was made to go back to the original plans. Kaforski: large |
pothole on Hickory by the Harris Bank entrance across from Mr. Z's. Tross: tree root or |
something popping up the asphalt in the 700 block of S. Main. |
