| M. South Broadway Improvements Change Order #1 (Resolution) |
| Resolution authorizing Change Order No. 1 to the contract with MQ Construction |
| Company reflecting an increase of $79,036.12 for construction services associated with |
| the South Broadway (Chase to Westmore) project. (DISTRICT #5) |
| Dratnol: reviewed change order with committee members present. (NOTE: correct |
| change order amount in Legistar. ) Kaforski: extra manhole? Dratnol: yes, it was |
| buried. We did have an indication that something was there, so we did think it was |
| possible that the manhole was there. |
| It was moved by Mahal, seconded by Kaforski, that this matter be recommended |
| to the Board of Trustees for approval. The motion carried by the following vote: |

| Anderson: explained the grind and overlay program, which is occurring presently. First |
| piece is annual maintenance. Second piece consists of what happened after |
| construction last year - small areas here and there. Usually occurs after Taste of |
| Lombard. Reviewed power point slides with committee. Arnold: any add in for white |
| topping in this? Anderson: we will be putting in white topping with the next CIP. Arnold: |
| where are we price wise with asphalt compared to concrete? Dratnol: concrete |
| driveways are coming in a lot cheaper than asphalt ones. Anderson: white topping still |
| requires a good base, the street needs to be in good condition. Tross: asked for |
| explanation of time frame of restoration policy. Anderson responded. Kaforski: n/w |
| corner of Martha and Washington - new handicap ramp is already lifting up. Tross: |
| asked Anderson to copy BOT on this with a memo. Arnold: do we have any budget for |
| brick paver maintenance? Anderson: we just started this year with $5000.00. Arnold: |
| what do you see as problem? Anderson: varies. Library area is actually lifting up. |

| Tross: advised at BOLI about SA219 problems. Dratnol: replacing existing sewer. It is |
| up, down and all around. Cannot even televise. On Ahrens from Roosevelt to Morris. |
| Real bad conditions. When sewer was originally constructed there was a fatality. |
| Contractor is having a lot of problems. We are looking at several different possibilities |
| there. May have to move or install new water main. Soils on Morris have been good. |
| All cost will be on the Village. Dratnol updated committee members on ongoing projects |
| throughout town. |

| Main Street STP Improvement - Plan and Profile |
| Dratnol: provided committee members with preliminary design reports. Limits of project |
| remain from Roosevelt Rd. to concrete section of Wilson Ave. Tross: asked committee |
| members to look at area from Central to left turn bay at Wilson. Now might be the time |
| to expand this project and get some ingress/egress from Glenbard East High School. |
| Dratnol: tossed out some ideas. Need to tread softly on project plans because of |
| funding. We can add in projects that the Village is funding at 100%. State has to |
| budget the entire cost of this project. We can plan out what needs to be done and have |
| time to work out things out with the high school. We can do widening at west side of |
| Main St. to achieve 5 lanes. Tross: if you know there is a defect in a plan, IDOT will not |
| change? Dratnol: there is no defect in this plan. Kaforski: what Dave is saying is true, |
| we will lose this funding and go back to page 1 if we try to change things. We can still |
| get it done, but need to get school on board and set up as separate project for the |
| Village. We proceed with this project. We do what we need to do right now so that |
| when this project is complete we can easily transition to the next phase. Consensus of |
| committee to coordinate with Glenbard East, Community Development, Public Works, |
| T&S Committee. Anderson: there is a stretch of right -of- way by the large house by |
| the high school that may be a problem. We have some right-of-way cleanup that we |
| need to address that would be better handled as a Village project. |
| It was moved by Kuehl, seconded by Kaforski, that this matter be recommended |
| to the Board of Trustees for approval Recommendation to increase the scope of |
| this project and to obtain a proposal from Christopher Burke Engineering for this |
| as a totally separate project. The motion carried by the following vote: |

| President's Committee - T&S Committee. |
| Anderson: gave committee feedback and recommendations that came out of |
| President's Committee meeting. At this point PWC should just be kept advised of what |
| is going on. Anderson putting together a proposal of estimate for the bushes. Keep on |
| the agenda every month. PWC will meet in July. |
