*BOLI has requested that this be tabled until January 4, 2007. |
SA 217 Engineering Resource Associates Contract Amendment No. 5 |
Reflecting an increase of $257,687.00 for design engineering services. (DISTRICT #4) |
Ray Schwab identified the timeline and scope of work for the first four amendments and |
the scope of work covered in amendment #5. In reviewing the C.I.P. and amendment |
#4, Trustees Soderstrom and Tross felt that the $54,078 as approved for amendment #4 |
covered both phases of the sanitary sewer replacement project. Molly O'Toole |
concurred with Trustees Soderstrom's and Tross's assessment. BOLI also wished that |
staff had brought forth an amendment concerning Sunset Homes and the watermain fire |
loop to an earlier BOLI session, as these items have been completed for the last six |
months without formal Board approval of the contract amendment. The watermain fire |
loop was approved by the Board, however, the formal contract amendment was not |
brought forth by staff. BOLI expressed their dissatisfaction with staff on this issue and |
wanted to make the Village Manager aware of the situation. BOLI would like |
Engineering Resource Associates to attend the December BOLI meeting to review |
contract amendment #5. |
It was moved by O'Toole, seconded by O'Brien, that this matter be tabled. The |
motion carried by a voice vote |

Trustee Soderstrom reviewed issues regarding Special Assessment 218B (Edgewood |
Ave.). Due to the project's minimal improvement to the area's stormwater, and |
easement issues, the Village Board will abandon Special Assessment 218B. Given the |
parameters of the project, it was not financially or physically possible to achieve the |
Village's objectives. Trustee Soderstrom made a motion for BOLI to formally abandon |
Special Assessment 218B. |
