| It was moved by Blakeslee, seconded by Frerichs, to approve the minutes of the |
| May 11, 2004, meeting. The motion carried by a voice vote |
| Dratnol informed the committee that the full package for the Street Lighting |
| Specifications will be on the next agenda. |
| Sebby asked about the Sidewalk Program. Dratnol reviewed that additional funding was |
| approved by the Board of Trustees. The additional funding allows the trip hazard |
| program to be caught up to June. Once the program is caught up, Public Works will |
| evaluate where it stands budget-wise. In the Fall sidewalk program will be on the |
| agenda. Sebby pointed out that if someone wants to participate financially, it would be a |
| nice option to have funds available for that. |
| Sebby asked for an update on the whitetopping. Dratnol responded that Public Works |
| charted out any distress on each piece. We will bring information to the next meeting. |
| Engineering will do that as we survey about every 6 months. Arnold pointed out that we |
| just did surface treatment on the asphalt portion, that adds to the cost. |

| Dratnol gave an update on several construction projects. |
| Charlotte (Olde Town East) - waiting for ComEd to move a pole. |
| Main Street - Precon with IDOT is scheduled. Construction should start late August. St. |
| Charles to Rt. 64 is a separate project. |

| Highland Avenue is switching from stage 1 to 2 on 8/27. It's still on track for 11/5 |
| completion. |
| Rt. 64-Substantial completion mid-late September. |
| Arnold asked what the policy is for how we schedule the street sweeping. Burg |
| responded that we go through the town systematically. We may concentrate more on |
| commercial. Arnold suggested that the residential sweeping be done on the day after |
| garbage pick up. Dratnol explained that because of the large area of garbage pick up |
| they couldn't get it all. |
| Kaforski stated that there are skid marks at Hammerschmidt/Harrison. He also thought |
| that the garbage trucks may be pulling up the crack sealing. |
