JJ: talked to Pam Schau about Figure One Site Map. This would be helping 16th street

and 4 Seasons Park. DT: this is just to advise to us of what is going on. re: school bus

accident. This is just informational. We will revisit this when school board is ready to

address. JS: I would not have this driveway access so close to the intersection. JJ:

they are proposing closing the center drive. JS: I am talking about the one that would

be closest to the signal. DT: This committee will address this in the future with the

school board.

DT: brought to this committee by Trustee Borgatell. Needs to be brought to Village

Board with a negative recommendation.

Cismesia: Submitted a petition from the residents. First year of ball games at the park.

Talked with J.J. about the situation. He posted temporary "No Parking". Now we have

petitioned for permanent "No Parking".

JJ: this is a rather unique situation due to the dead end/cars turning around in

driveways.

Cismesia: the temporary posting worked good, but it needs to be posted on the entire

side of the street.

GG: I was over there and counted 22 parking spots from the park district with 2

handicap spaces. JJ: this would be a Monday thru Friday 4-8. DT: a park is there and

people need to park there because there is a park there. GG: had this problem in

several areas in town around other parks. Could we post west side and leave east side

open?

Cismesia: all I want is to be able to pull in my driveway and not be worried about hitting

a child. The kids at these games are not thinking about traffic going down the street

because it is a dead end street. GG: we need to leave enough parking for over flow

beyond the game participants. I would hate to have us start a precedent here, but it is

not the government's responsibility to take care of anyone's children. Cismesia: OK,

then let's address the situation that I cannot get in and out of my driveway when this is

going on. We are basically held hostage until the traffic is gone. Someone even turned

in to my driveway and almost hit my son playing basketball there. GG: What is the

distance from dead end to the first drive? Could we bring "No Parking" up to first

driveway, then you would still have some street parking. DT: Dane, are you okay with

this? Cuny: yes.

the east side of the street only, Monday through Friday, 4 PM to 8PM.

DT: brought to myself and Trustee Borgatell. We told the parents involved to go to the

safety board at the school. They have not done that. GG: Has this come up before?

JJ: there was a 1986 study. The principal from the school has no problem with what is

going on. Things really have not changed out there. DT: Kids are not following school

plan. This will need to go to the Board of Trustees with a recommendation for denial.

JS: This is an easy answer from IDOT. ( Addressing Stan Rickard's memo to John

Schwarz). GG: Had 12 cars get thru when I went thru this intersection. JS: the State

will not change this, I can almost guarantee. DT: just an informational item, at NW

corner of Main & Roosevelt, blacktop is being taken away, and we are putting in some

sidewalk, trees, etc. this fall. GG: What's up with White Castle? DT: According to

Dave Hulseburg, White Castle is holding this up.
