Call to Order and Roll Call

The meeting was called to order at 3:02 p.m. by Chairperson Village President William |

Approval of Minutes
|
The minutes of the April 19, 2007 committee meeting were submitted for approval. |
|
Steve Wilk, Sr. made a motion to approve as submitted. Motion was seconded by Ed |
|
Murphy. Motion carried unanimously to approve the minutes as submitted. |

Grant Application from the Lombard Chamber of Commerce for 2007 Business |

Expo |
|
A request for $6,000 from Hotel/Motel funds, for advertising costs associated with the |
|
2007 Business Expo. |
|
The Lombard Chamber of Commerce submitted a grant for costs associated with |
|
advertising for the Chamber Business Expo for $6,000. Representing the Chamber, |
|
Marguerite Micken explained that costs were higher this year because the Expo was |
|
being held at the Westin Lombard Yorktown Center. She reviewed the expenses and |
|
spoke of additional media coverage to include the Chicago Tribune Business pages as |
|
well as additional signage for the event. |
|
Since no budget was presented with the grant application, President Mueller suggested |
|
that the Chamber submit a budget for the event to be considered. |
|
A motion was made by Steve Wilk, Sr., seconded by Ed Murphy, to approve a grant in |
|
an amount not to exceed $4,000 for the Lombard Chamber of Commerce. It additional |
|
funds were needed, they could be addressed at a later time. The motion carried |
|
unanimously. |
|
It was moved by Wilk, Sr., seconded by Murphy, that this matter be recommend |
|
to the Board of Trustees for Approval. The motion carried by a voice vote |

The meeting was adjourned at 3:20 p.m. with a motion by Ed Murphy, seconded by |
