| It was moved by Mason, seconded by Schukat, to approve the Minutes of the |
| February 24, 2009 meeting. The motion carried by a voice vote |
| Solid Waste Contract - Update |
| Karls reviewed the monthly tonnage chart. He also commented that the market for |
| recyclables is still way down. Bartt asked what Waste Management is doing with the |
| collected recyclables. Karls answered that they are still selling them because Waste |
| Management does have some in-house capability for some processing. |
| Clean Air Counts |
| Gorman reported that at the last Clean Air Counts meeting they discussed green |
| cleaning techniques and solutions. |
| 2009 Recycling Extravaganza |
| Gorman informed the Committee members that Requests for Proposals are going out. |
| Adams requested that if possible the information be sent to the Committee members |
| earlier. Gorman added that the RFP is by pounds price and it specifies that they need to |
| bring their own manpower. Adams pointed out that "a forklift" needs to be added in |
| Section 1. |
| By Committee consensus all other recyclables collected will be the same as last year. |
| Recycling Education Grant Application, Willowbrook High School |
| Approving a grant in the amount of $1,720.15. |

| to the Board of Trustees for approval. The motion carried by a voice vote |
