Residential Traffic Speed and Enforcement |

Will be taken out of order due to Dane's absence. Dane arrived at 7:35 pm. Cuny: |
|
reviewed his report copies. Had some glitches with our computerized forms. We have |
|
that under control. This summer has been relatively light. Bedard: are these being kept |
|
and studied? Cuny: yes, they will be saved on the network. This is our pilot form. Any |
|
comments? Soderstrom: besides citizen input also wanted the PD's description of what |
|
measures are being taken for example: speed trailer, etc. Cuny: a total description of |
|
what we have done overall? Soderstrom: yes. Please give me this before the Sept. |
|
19th Board meeting. |

Johnson: discussed the results of the survey with residents. Put up over the summer, |
|
and re-evaluated at the beginning of the school year. Bedard: been through there |
|
myself and that was a real mess out there prior to the one-way being installed. Any |
|
feedback? Johnson: only from the school. Cindy Cronin: thanked John Johnson for |
|
responding so quickly. We did have some glitches at the end of the year last year, so it |
|
is much easier to "train" people at the beginning of the year. Favorable response from |
|
many of the parents both new to the school and returning families. Only have seen |
|
smiles on the faces of the parents. Gron: do you have Kindergarten classes? Cronin: |
|
we have 4 classes. Do not need the one-way at 11:15 dismissal. Gron: so time is OK? |
|
Cronin: perfect. Schwarz: I haven't observed this, but are the cones an absolute |
|
necessity? Cronin: not anymore They were only there as a reminder. Schwarz: don't |
|
need them now. |

Sandy Dressler: thanked John Johnson so much for all of his help. Has made a |
|
congestion problem turn out beautifully. We did not even need to use cones. We have |
|
had a tremendously positive response from everyone. Bedard: did we talk about a |
|
crossing guard here last year? Dressler: the school district does pay for a crossing |
|
guard and we still need it. We feel very comfortable here. Gron: what were some of |
|
the objections by residents? Johnson: not real specific. We have pretty much satisfied |
|
everyone that we could. |

Johnson: reviewed request by Denise Mella. Code enforcement goes out and checks |

bushes and issues citation for corner house to trim bushes that cause site hazard. |

Reviewed findings. Soderstrom: if the average is 68, how can you have 61 as the |
|
highest during peak hour? Schwarz: I drove it and had no problem. |
|

Soderstrom: I am passing out a report Mike Millette gave me this evening about traffic |

in the Roosevelt Rd. corridor. (Lombard Pines, Edward, etc.) Review at your leisure and |
|
this will come to the committee at some point. Response to our request of what is going |
|
on out there. Bedard: I thought we were getting this when Main St was resurfaced? |
|
Soderstrom: this is in lieu of a full scale report since that project has been put off to a |
|
further date. |
