Meeting was called to order by Chairperson Soderstrom at 7:30 PM.

Soderstrom: Is trailer up? Cuny: Yes. In fact, we are also using a prototype trailer |
|
made by Barricade Lites that is working well. The Department is considering buying a |
|
second trailer with the money from the DUI user fund. |

Johnson reviewed his memo and map suggesting 7 spaces for motorcycles a the east |
|
end of the DuPage Theater lot. The committee discussed the matter. Bedard: Can you |
|
mark the spaces out now? Johnson: Yes. Lepins: Could a motorcycle use a regular |
|
parking space? Johnson: Yes. The committee discussed possibly providing locking |
|
devices. Schwarz questioned whether it was a good idea to park motorcycles at the |
|
east end of the DuPage lot due to the poor visibility. He also felt that painting stripes |
|
would not attract motorcycles in that location. |
|
Johnson raised a question about possible Village liability if locking devices were |
|
supplied. Johnson stated that he would like to check with the Village attorney on this |
|
issue. |
|
Committee directed staff to check liability issue and the cost of various locking devices. |
|
It was moved by Kuehl, seconded by Bedard, that this matter be tabled. The |
|
motion carried by a voice vote |

Johnson recommended signage changes in the general area from St. Charles Rd. to |
|
Windsor Ave. and Main Street to Craig Place. Committee discussion ensued. |

A Motion was made by John Schwarz, seconded by Bill Lepins to forward this matter to |
|
the board for approval. The motion carried by the following vote: |
|
Ayes: 4 - Bedard, Schwarz, Kuehl, Lepins |

Soderstrom: Village President will make Committee assignments the first meeting in |
|
June. Knows someone that is interested in becoming committee member, but would |
|
rather allow the new Chairperson to recommend any appointments. |
