Title: Village Engagement Relative to Private Grant Applications The Economic and Community Development Committee recommends that the Village Board authorize the Village Manager and staff to file a grant application with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) for an Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production Grant in regard to the proposed Prairie Food Co-Op retail grocery store to be developed at 109 South Main Street, and recommends that the Village Manager and staff develop a written policy relative to such grant applications should the opportunity for additional grants arise in the future. The direction relative to the filing of the grant application only relates to the preparation and filing of the grant application. As such, should the USDA award the grant to the Village, the acceptance of the grant and the release of any funds pursuant to the grant would only occur upon the approval of a separate agreement, in relation thereto, by the Village Board, at a future.
